Olive Tree Direction
Spiritual Direction (SD) with Hannah Satterthwaite
Develop a deeper connection with God through this centuries-old practice. I offer a safe, prayerful space to notice and respond to God’s loving presence in your everyday life. Rather than giving advice, I'm trained and qualified to listen alongside you and help you discern God’s gentle invitations—leading to growth, healing, and a closer walk with Christ. It was my golden hour each month." Missionary in Europe
Spiritual Direction Explained
Spiritual Direction is an ancient ministry designed to help you grow in intimacy with God and find clarity in your spiritual journey. Participants can experience renewed peace and purpose and non-judgemental support for struggles or questions about faith. I first encountered spiritual direction during the pandemic when I was working overseas and struggling to find hope. My director provided a safe, prayerful space each month to be honest with God and to receive his love.We begin each session with a moment of silence or a reflection, creating a calm space for you to share what’s on your heart—concerns, hopes, or questions. I’ll listen prayerfully and without judgement, helping you discern God’s presence and invitations. The tradition is to meet once a month for about an hour. I offer a free initial session to see if it’s right for you; sessions then continue at £30-50 (depending on your income). Book your free session using the online form or by emailing me [email protected]
About Me
I'm a recognised spiritual director of the ESDA (Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association). I spent several years in urban community ministry and primary education before sensing God’s call to serve overseas. From 2016 to 2021, I worked in East Africa, returning home unexpectedly after facing personal crisis and burnout. In the midst of the pandemic, I discovered spiritual direction as a safe, life-giving space where I could be honest with God, receive His gentle care, and recover my sense of purpose.Training on the two-year ‘Deepen’ Relational Spiritual Formation course with Novo equipped me to offer this gift of prayerful listening to others—especially cross-cultural workers, those feeling weary, or anyone simply seeking deeper intimacy with Christ. Alongside my role supporting children with special educational needs, I’m an active member of an Anglican church in Oxford. Painting, gratitude, and walks in nature help me stay attentive to God’s presence.I offer spiritual direction both online and in person.
